What is Debauchery?
DEBAUCHERY! is a script-in-hand theatre event! A live soap opera that performs a new episode every month in New Orleans.
Written by Pat Bourgeios and produced by Southern Rep Theatre, DEBAUCHERY! is a slice of New Orleans life. Lois, the show's matriarch, keeps tabs on the family as hilarity and shenanigans ensue.

The show started with a 5 person family and after ten seasons has more than 60 family members (aka cast members). Cast members and audience show up every month for a new episode. It ain't the money or the drama that keeps 'em, coming but the community, the laughs, and of course- the cheap drinks.
A story about resilience, community, and laughter!
Why Debauchery?
No one thought DEBAUCHERY! would last longer than six months. 10 years later the show has grown bigger and crazier than anyone ever imagined!

DEBAUCHERY! has become a staple in the New Orleans theatre community but why?
DEBAUCHERY! THE DOCUMENTARY!! talks to the actors who have been performing off and on for years; the audience who shows up every month; the producers who have gone through multiple venue changes; and the creator whose show has taken on a life of its own!

Lights go down as the music swells. A voice over the loud speaker announces:

The family in this soap opera is a hot mess!

Chanel and Cartier are sisters. Chanel is married to Larsen Grant. Cartier is married to Buff Divine. Their mother, Lois is married to private dick, Marlow Philips. Mitzy is Lois’ sister who lives in Da Parish. Romeo and Juliet, and their sisters, Dior and Merci are Cartier’s children. Toby and Blythe are Chanel’s children.
These people have the morals of a two bit hooker. Their lives are so screwed up that even Dr. Phil can’t help. They’re disillusioned, distracted, and dysfunctional. What could be more delicious? Won’t you join us for this episode of ... Debauchery!!
